Increasing networking makes it possible to integrate autonomous, intelligent units at the field level into the system-wide communication system. The SIMATIC ET 200 I/O system can be expanded using integral, intelligent controllers. This gives rise to Distributed Controllers.

The entry-level CPU for standard and fail-safe applications with medium requirements in terms of processing performance and response speed in discrete production technology. The CPU 1510SP F-1 PN can be used as a PROFINET IO controller or as distributed intelligence (PROFINET I-Device). -
